- Contract suited to customer needs
Fenced, gated and on camera
A private, walled property with electric fencing and controlled gate access, and cameras recording the entrance, driveways and unit rows around the clock.
The owner lives here
Rean is on the property, not at a call centre. Someone who cares is always around — that is the whole point.
Drive right to your door
Bring the bakkie or trailer straight to your unit. No lifts, no corridors, no trolleys full of boxes.
Clean, dry brick units
Face-brick walls under a proper roof with a roller door — kept clean and dry, ready to move into.

How it works
Three steps and you are in
Tell us what you need
Call, WhatsApp or send the form. We will tell you honestly what size suits your load and what is open right now.
Pay the deposit
A deposit secures your unit. It is not an extra fee — it covers your final month when you eventually move out.
Get gate access and move in
We load your cell number onto the gate system and give you the number to dial. You put your own lock on the door and you can start moving in the same day.
Why PTA Storage
A home from home for your things
Most self-storage means an industrial park, a roller shutter in a long dark corridor and a call centre somewhere else. This is a family property in a quiet Pretoria East suburb, and it is looked after like one.
- Safe enough for anyone to visit. Your wife or daughter can fetch something from the unit on her own without a second thought.
- You deal with the owner. One phone number, one person, no ticket numbers.
- Month to month. Stay for two months or ten years — no lock-in, no penalty for outgrowing us.
- Grounds that are actually maintained. Lawns cut, roads clear, doors that work.

About us
Twelve years in the making
PTA Storage is the culmination of a twelve-year dream to build storage garages on our own property. We met opposition from the neighbourhood and we ran into every financial obstacle you can imagine, but the units got built — brick by brick.
If you believe in the true spirit of entrepreneurship and the South African way of backing a small business, then this is the place to store your goods. I live on the property myself, which is the added customer-care touch you simply do not get from a big storage chain.

Questions
The things everyone asks
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes. A deposit secures the unit before you move in, and it is not money you lose — it covers your final month’s rent when you move out.
When is the rent due?
Rent is paid monthly in advance. Note that a payment that reaches us on or after the 25th is credited to the following month, so it is worth paying before then.
What are the access hours?
Seven days a week, 06:00 to 18:00 — weekends and public holidays included. You come and go as you please within those hours.
Who has the key to my unit?
You do. You fit your own lock to your own unit and you keep the only key.
How secure is the property?
It is a private property behind walls and electric fencing. The gate is on a controlled access system: your cell number is registered on it and you are given a number to dial, so one call from your own phone opens the gate — there is no keypad code to share and no tag to lose. Cameras record the entrance, the driveways and the unit rows around the clock, and the footage is reviewed if anything happens. They cover the common areas of the property, not the inside of your unit. The owner also lives on the premises.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. Rental runs month to month. Give us a calendar month’s notice when you are ready to go and your deposit covers that last month.
Is my stuff insured?
We do not insure the goods in your unit — they are stored at your own risk, which is standard for self-storage anywhere. Most household policies will extend cover to goods in storage, so it is worth a quick call to your broker before you move in.
What may I not store?
No flammable or explosive materials, no fuel or gas, nothing perishable, no live animals, and nothing illegal. If you are unsure about something, just ask.
Can I store a car, caravan or trailer?
Yes. A vehicle fits comfortably in an 18 m² unit, and we also have open parking bays for caravans, trailers and boats. Give us the dimensions and we will tell you honestly whether it will fit through the door.
